Privacy notice
Who I am
This website, tapan.at, is run by Tapanat Suntijitto. I decide how your personal data is used, which makes me the “data controller” under the UK GDPR. You can contact me at me@tapan.at.
If you just play the game
I don't collect anything. The site has no cookies, analytics, advertising or tracking, no accounts, and it doesn't store anything in your browser. The pixel font is hosted on this site itself, so nothing is loaded from third parties. The links to LinkedIn and the “Email me” button only take you elsewhere when you click them.
If you vote for coffee or tea
The coffee-or-tea question at the dining table is anonymous. I don't ask for your name or any text, and I don't store your IP address or anything else that could identify you.
| What I store | Only running totals: how many people picked coffee or tea, and how many gave each number from 1 to 5. An individual vote isn't saved with a date, a device or an address, so it can't be traced back to you. |
|---|---|
| Why | To see how visitors enjoyed the site. |
| Who sees it | Visitors see the totals and averages after they vote. I don't share or sell anything. |
| How long I keep it | The totals stay for as long as the site runs. Because they aren't personal data, I can't pick out or delete an individual vote. |
Hosting
The site is hosted by Hostinger, which stores the vote totals for me and keeps standard server logs (such as IP addresses and the pages requested) to run and secure its service. I don't use those logs myself. Hostinger may process data on servers outside the UK and is responsible for protecting it with appropriate safeguards.
If you email me
If you email me, for example from the “Email me” button, I use your email address and message only to reply to you. I keep emails only as long as I need to deal with them. Your own email provider also handles the message.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- ask what personal data I hold about you and get a copy;
- ask me to correct anything that's wrong;
- ask me to delete your data;
- ask me to restrict how I use your data, or object to it;
- withdraw your consent at any time. This doesn't affect anything done before you withdrew it.
To use any of these rights, email me@tapan.at. I'll reply within one month.
Complaints
If you're unhappy with how I've handled your data, please contact me first at me@tapan.at and I'll try to put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or by calling 0303 123 1113.
Changes
If I change how the site works, I'll update this page and the date at the top.
